Bulky Waste Pickup Procedures

Bulky Waste:

Starting January 2024, the Township will pick up ONE bulk item (couch, chair, mattress, bulky rigid plastic, etc…) per household on the first garbage day of the month for your route.

Electronics:

The Township will no longer pick up electronics. All electronics can be taken to the Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority (SCMUA) anytime free of charge. Please see their website at: www.scmua.org

Household Hazardous Waste:

SCMUA has hazardous waste days two times a year. Please see their website for dates. www.scmua.org

Fluorescent Light Bulb:

Fluorescent Light Bulbs will not be picked up curbside but can be taken to the SCMUA

Styrofoam:

Clean (no food residue) Styrofoam can be taken to the SCMUA for recycling. Styrofoam can also be placed in the trash.

Tires and Metal:

Tires and metal including washers, dryers, air conditioners, refrigerators, etc… will only be collected once a year during the first full week in October. This will be the only time these items will be picked up. Tires must be removed from the rim.
